Information Collected Automatically
- Location data: Precise GPS location while you use the app to match you with nearby drivers and complete trips. With your permission, we may collect location data in the background to improve pickup accuracy.
- Trip data: Pickup and drop-off points, route, distance, duration, and fare for each ride.
- Device information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, and mobile network information.
- Usage data: How you interact with the app, features used, crash reports, and performance data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Yala Taxi Service.
- Match you with available drivers and process your bookings.
- Calculate fares, process payments, and send receipts.

- With drivers: Your first name, profile photo, pickup location, and destination are shared with your assigned driver to complete your trip.
- With payment processors: Payment details are shared with our third-party payment providers to complete transactions securely.
- With service providers: We engage trusted vendors for cloud hosting, analytics, customer support, and mapping services, who are bound to handle data according to our instructions.
- For legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Yala Taxi, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Location Data
Location access is essential for the core functionality of Yala Taxi. We use location data to find nearby drivers, track trips in progress, and improve our service. You can disable location access in your device settings at any time, but this will prevent you from using the app. We do not share your precise real-time location with third parties beyond what is necessary to operate the Service.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Trip records may be retained for up to 7 years for financial, legal, and safety compliance purposes. 6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive data, and access controls to protect your personal information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your account credentials confidential.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
